Ask A Question of Standard Legal

Have a question? Then Ask Standard Legal!

Simply submit your question by email to ask@StandardLegal.com. We will reply to you directly by email. If we determine that your question might be of interest to others, we will also make a post to our Ask Standard Legal blog. (We won’t use your name or cite identifying circumstances.)

THREE IMPORTANT POINTS ABOUT THE QUESTIONS YOU SUBMIT:

1) Remember, we cannot provide specific legal advice to you. We can address legal topics in a general manner, and we can answer questions of fact. But we cannot answer “what should I do” questions, nor can we cover questions that won’t have a broad application to other readers. In other words, we can’t tell you how to handle a specific asset in grandma’s Last Will and Testament, but we can answer a factual question about Wills and we can discuss how most people might handle a Last Will and Testament in certain circumstances.

2) We can only address questions related to common pro se legal topics, typically limited to the listed in the left column of the Ask Standard Legal blog. We will not answer questions related to criminal or civil court proceedings, as we almost always recommend the services of a qualified local attorney in these instances. Nor can we provide free research services for narrow questions that are not common legal issues; for that, again, you must secure the services of an attorney for such matters.
3) We will always provide answers to questions regarding the products and services of Standard Legal (i.e. form use functionality, download questions, shopping cart questions, etc.).

So go ahead, Ask Standard Legal and we’ll do our best to answer!
