When such a case is closed, it must be re-opened before new or additional documents can be filed.<\/p>\n<p>So how exactly does a person re-open a closed Bankruptcy case? <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The required form and rules for reopening a Bankruptcy case are specific to each District Court. <\/p>\n<p>The local District Bankruptcy Court should provide the form to you or otherwise provide instructions for creating such a motion to reopen. <\/p>\n<p>Call the Court where you filed or visit its website for details.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the Central District of the State of California uses <a href=\"http:\/\/www.standardlegal.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/MOTION-REOPEN-CERT.pdf\">this Motion to Reopen form<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cacb.uscourts.gov\/faq\/reopen-bankruptcy-case-how-do-i-do-and-fee-required\" title=\"Instructions to Reopen a Bankruptcy Case - Central District California\" target=\"_blank\">provides instructions here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Standard Legal does not offer this type of form in its Bankruptcy legal forms software package, by choice.
