A Certification of Trust permits the Grantor or Trustees of a Trust to provide required information regarding the Trust to those that need or want it.

Example institutions like banks, hospitals, financial advisors, etc. are those to whom a Certification of Trust are often provided.

Using a Certification of Trust allows the Grantor or Trustee to keep the actual substantive terms of the Trust private and confidential while still providing the general information required.

In most USA states, providing a Certification of Trust is a valid way to provide Trust information without having to provide the entire legal document set for the Trust.
