HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE FROM THE TRANSACTION CONFIRMATION PAGE?
Immediately upon the completion of a successful credit card or Paypal transaction through the Standard Legal shopping cart system, an Invoice page appears detailing which software products have been purchased and the cost of each product. ON THIS SAME INVOICE PAGE, THERE IS ALSO A LARGE RED MESSAGE AT THE TOP STATING THAT THE DOWNLOAD LINKS FOR THE SOFTWARE ARE AVAILABLE FOR USE JUST BELOW THE INVOICE DETAILS. These download links are provided on the same page as the Invoice itself -- so as long as the transaction is successfully confirmed by the appearance of this Invoice, access to the software download is also provided because the download links are on this same order confirmation page. HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE FROM THE DOWNLOAD EMAIL?
Along with the Invoice links, a DOWNLOAD email is also sent to the email address you provided during the checkout process. This DOWNLOAD email contains the links necessary to access your software. So long as your email address was correctly entered during the transaction process (as in a correctly spelled prefix with an ampersand @ followed by a server name and a .com, .net, .org or other web suffix -- compiled like address@host.com), you will receive a DOWNLOAD email with the software links.
If you are an AOL user, you may not have clickable links in the DOWNLOAD email. Follow the directions provided on the AOL Users FAQs page to access the download.

WHAT IF I MISSED BOTH THE INVOICE CONFIRMATION AND THE DOWNLOAD EMAIL?
If you missed the download links on the Invoice page and you did not receive the DOWNLOAD email either, please email support@StandardLegal.com with your name, the title of the software you purchased, the date of your purchase, and the email address you used during that transaction, and we will confirm the completion of your transaction and send new software links to you.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO DOWNLOAD ANY SOFTWARE?
Then don't! Downloading the software you've purchased from Standard Legal is not required.
If you are having difficulties downloading the software or decompressing the downloadable .zip file from Standard Legal Software (or simply don't want to add more files to your system), try the online version!
The link to the online version can be found in the DOWNLOAD email you received at the time of purchase. The content in the online version is exactly the same as the downloadable version, and you can use this online version to access and save to your hard drive the specific forms that you need.
Note that you will not be completing any of the forms online! After reading the instructions within the software you will save the appropriate forms to your hard drive and then work on the saved forms from there. It's the easiest possible way to use Standard Legal software!

HOW DO I USE THE ONLINE SOFTWARE?
A confirmation email is sent to every customer for every software purchase made from The Standard Legal Network. In addition to the software download link, this confirmation email also contains a link to an online version of the same software. Since there is no installation required with the online version, many people find it easier to use the software online instead of installing the download onto their own hard drive. In either case, the software contents and functionality are identical.
To access the online version of the software, simply click the URL listed in the confirmation email. (If you are using AOL, you may need to copy and paste the link into a web browser's Address bar, as AOL's email client doesn't always support clickable links. Click here for additional AOL information.) A password verification box will pop up before access to the online software site is granted; simply supply the username and password provided in the confirmation email to pass through to the software. (We suggest you check the box that allows your browser to remember your user name and password for you, so that you don't have to enter the information again.)
Once you access the first page of the software, we also suggest you bookmark the home page in your browser's Favorites so that you can easily reference the online version in the future. (You can also access the online version again using the URL in the confirmation email.)
Finally, make sure you keep the confirmation email in a safe place, so that you can reference the access link and the user name and password information later.

HOW DO I USE THE .ZIP FILE?
Downloadable files are supplied in ".zip" format to reduce the file size (and thus save download time), and must be EXTRACTED or EXPANDED prior to use.
Most computers come with a .zip decompression utility pre-installed; most Microsoft PCs have a "Compressed Folders" program that can expand .zip files. If your computer does not have a Microsoft .zip utility pre-installed, we recommend the FREE Expander download from StuffIt or the FREE trial version of WinZip. (We suggest you read your system's Help section on .zip file use for details specific to your operating system for any pre-installed software.)
After downloading a Standard Legal .zip file, you must EXTRACT or EXPAND the .zip to access the legal form software contents! Usually, double-clicking on the .zip file itself will only work if you have an expansion program like WinZip or StuffIt Expander installed.
If double clicking does not EXPAND the file (i.e. you see only "garbled" content after doing so), then RIGHT CLICK on the .zip file and -- based on the version of Windows you have -- you should:
- Windows 98/ME/etc. users: select EXTRACT or EXPAND from the menu that appears after right-clicking; or
- Windows XP and Vista users: right-click the .zip file and select OPEN WITH>Compressed (zipped) Folders, which will open a folder window showing the contents of the .zip. DO NOT DOUBLE-CLICK THE CONTENTS, AS THAT DOES NOT EXTRACT IT! In the left column menu of that window, select "Extract All Files" which will launch a wizard to allow you to expand the zip. NOTE THAT YOU MUST EXTRACT THE FILES, NOT MERELY "OPEN WITH"!
Note the location to which the file is being saved. After you EXTRACT or EXPAND the .zip, browse your way to the newly expanded folder that has been saved on your hard drive. )Make certain you browse to the extracted folder and not the original .zip file!) Open the expanded folder and double-click either the index.html icon or the START-HERE.txt file (the initial page offered within the folder depends upon that software title's format). Follow the instructions provided in the starting document to begin using the software.
